Well, God is good!! And if anyone ever asks you if prayer really works, have them call me! Dad had a great weekend! He had dialysis Saturday and was alert by the afternoon. They took him back off the ventilator and he was breathing on his own with just some oxygen to help. Yesterday was one of his best days ever, his vitals were normal, he was awake and giving hugs and kisses and was continuing to breathe on his own. His creatnin level had dropped down and he was looking good. He was due for dialysis this morning. When I got there today, I found out that his level was the lowest it had been since he entered the hospital, and that the kidney doctor said he didn’t need dialysis today. And, between 7a and 2p when I left, he had put out over 1000cc of urine, which is AWESOME!! He was still breathing on his own, and the respiratory doctor said that if he kept that up for a couple more days, they could remove the oxygen and put a plug in his trake so he could talk. His vitals were still awesome too. The ONLY problem he is now having is a mystery fever. Well, just a short time ago, Mom called me and said that the hospital had called and that the kidney doctor had been back in and said he NO LONGER needs dialysis and that they were going to remove his PIC line, which they believe may be were the fever may be coming from!!!! Lastly, if he continues to have good days like this, they said they expect to move him out of CVICU and into a room by the end of this week. Can I say it again......GOD IS GOOD and PRAYER WORKS!! You all can pat yourselves on the back because he wouldn’t be at this point if it weren‘t for your prayers and your love! We’re getting there! I will keep you updated!
